The Yowza Biscayne is a high quality folding treadmill. In fact, it is currently the slimmest folding treadmill that you can buy. When folded, it has a width of just less than two feet.
The treadmill features a commercial grade motor so it can handle regular and heavy duty use. The console is ergonomically designed and easy to use. You can change speed, incline and select a program at a single touch. Other value added features include a water bottle holder, an iPod dock and hi-fidelity speakers. There is also a Polar wireless heart rate receiver.
There are a variety of pre-set workouts, 15 different programs that you can choose from, including weight loss, speed, heart rate and fitness. Speed ranges from . 5 to 10 mph and the incline can range from 0% to 12%. It has a computer that can keep track of profiles for nine different users so you do not have to keep entering your age, weight and fitness level.
The treadmill’s floating deck allows for a soft landing which will aid in preventing injuries. The deck is reversible and does not need to be maintained regularly. There is a 20″ by 60″ running belt so you have room to move. The maximum amount a user can weigh is 350 pounds.
This is a well made treadmill, using a quiet running technology and featuring a welded steel frame. The warranty on it is quite good. It includes a lifetime guarantee for the frame and the motor, as well as five years for parts and electronics and two years for labor in the home.
Even though the design is a slim fold one, the treadmill is a heavy one. You can choose to pay an additional fee for it to be delivered inside which is probably wise. Assembly generally takes less than an hour, even if you have no experience.
Although this is a high quality treadmill, you do pay extra for the extra slim design of the Yowza Biscayne. If saving space is really important to you, such as for those who live in apartments, it may be worth the price. Otherwise, you might want to look at some of the company’s other models.
