Domestic Helper, USA Visa: Reviewing The Rules
Many households and private employers all over the world are dependent on a reliable domestic helper. USA Visa acquisition is therefore necessary for anyone trying to work as a domestic helper in the U.S. There are several requirements necessary before a domestic helper can work legally on American soil.
A non-immigrant type of visa needs to be acquired by an interested domestic helper. This is because domestic helpers should not be planning to migrate to the U.S. It is only because of the work contract that they are applying for a visa. Thus, a duly signed working contract must already be in order at this point.
For a lawful recognition on the worker rights in the U.S. of the domestic helper, USA Visa must first be obtained. Along with the scheduled interview in the American embassy, a domestic helper must be able to present the necessary papers such as passport, application confirmation sheet, and other expired or existing visas.
If you are intending to acquire a visa as a personal employee, you need first of all, to pay the necessary application fee, which is basically non-refundable. The fee varies depending on your country of residency. However, the fee can be valid for use anytime within one year of the date of issuance.
On the Internet, an electronic application form can be accessed by anyone applying for a visa, including a domestic helper. USA Visa won’t be made available to an applicant who commits lapses in submitting the requirements. This includes a completed application form complete with latest photo.
Since most home helpers applying for a U.S. visa will be traveling with their employers to America, the employer must be able to present an employment contract for the visa interview. The contract must be signed by both parties- employee and employer- and needs to follow the labor rules prevalent in the U.S.
Another important requirement in the application for visa is for the domestic helper to present an attestation on his or her residence in the home country. Intent on illegal staying in the United States needs to be disproved by the domestic helper. USA Visa attainment otherwise could be jeopardized for the applicant.
The domestic helper must also be employed already by his or her employer for not less than a year. Once the needed documents are submitted and the interview questions effectively answered by the domestic helper, USA Visa consent won’t be far from possible.
